The Mandatory Colour Consultation

Your safety and the health of your hair are our priority. We strictly adhere to all health and safety legislation.

YOU MUST BOOK A CONSULTATION well in advance of any colouring service if any of the following apply:

This is your first time having a colour service at our salon.
You are planning to change your current hair colour (no matter how subtle the change).

Why is a Consultation Mandatory?

A consultation allows us to:

Correctly assess your hair's condition, history, and suitability for the desired change.
Perform the necessary Allergy Alert Test (AAT).
Take test pieces from your hair to confirm the expected end result.
Ensure the correct booking time and services are reserved.

Allergy Alert Test (AAT) & Safety

An Allergy Alert Test (AAT) must be carried out in the salon at least 48 hours prior to any colouring service.
You must remain in the salon for up to 45 minutes once the AAT is applied.
AAT results are valid for up to 90 days.
No Skin Test, NO Colour! We strictly adhere to safety laws and will not proceed with any permanent or semi-permanent colour service without a valid, up-to-date AAT.

Booking Your Appointment

Booking Online: Ensure you select all necessary add-ons (e.g., Toning, Cutting & Styling) to allow for the required time in our diary.

If Unsure: Please call the salon on 01912221311 for guidance before paying any booking fee. Failure to book the correct time and services may result in cancellation charges.

Mandatory Home Care Guarantee: Standard Colour Services

Due to the investment made in achieving your hair colour at Collective Hairdressing®, your result is guaranteed only when correct aftercare is followed. Professional home care is essential for maintaining your colour's vibrancy, shine, and the integrity of your hair structure (especially for root colour, full head colour and grey coverage).

To validate your colour guarantee:

You MUST purchase and exclusively use the professional home care products (shampoo, conditioner, and any recommended treatment/mask) advised by your stylist, purchased either directly from your stylist in the salon or from our online store where we are assured that it is genuine professional product.

Your stylist will prescribe a bespoke home care plan.

Failure to use the professional products recommended by Collective Hairdressing® will void any guarantee. This is because non-professional products can strip colour, deposit damaging ingredients, or rapidly diminish the effects of our colour preservation technologies.

We are committed to providing the finest colour results, but the longevity and integrity of your colour are not guaranteed if you fail to take the necessary care and use the wrong products at home.
